SEO and Social are coming together. Search Engine Optimization rules are changing. Google downgrades sites with too many keywords and sites with “irrelevant” links. It is no longer enough to put up a static website, add some keywords and expect to show up on Page 1 of search results. Content and social sharing have become key elements in search. Search engines are looking for fresh, original, valuable and trustworthy content. In order to find this content, Google has admitted that it is relying more and more on social signals. In other words, when a piece of new content is created on a blog, Facebook or other social site, search engines pay attention. When that content is shared by others, they pay even more attention.
